THE CREATOR

Presentations

Let me introduce myself, my name is Clara LARRIEU, I'm 33. I wasn't destined to become a cutlery designer, but after several years working in the audiovisual world in Paris, I decided to leave everything behind and embark on a professional reconversion. The desire to return to live close to my roots in south-west France was becoming too present in my daily life.

A bit of our history

Getting back to basics

I've always known my father with his knife collection, and he's always loved it. The idea of creating a regional knife originated with him. But lack of time meant he was never able to devote himself fully to the project. Forced to reinvent myself, I too became interested in cutlery. I wanted to get back to values that suited me better, I wanted to create and let my imagination guide my gestures. I've always been drawn to the world of craftsmanship, and felt that this was where my professional fulfillment lay.

LE SOLEN

The Solen idea

Very attached to my native region, inventing an innovative product with the allure of my childhood made perfect sense in September 2019. After several months of reflection and my wonderful meeting with art knifemaker and trainer Mr. Raymond ROSA, Atelier Rosie and its Solen were finally able to see the light of day in January 2021.

Oh Rosie!

Why Atelier Rosie?

The choice of this name is a tribute to my paternal grandmother, who passed away shortly before I began my cutlery training. Her name was Rosie, a name I've always found catchy, and without her this project might never have seen the light of day... You could say that this wonderful adventure I've embarked upon is in a way a family affair. My table knife is called L'Oyat, a name chosen as a tribute to my uncle who recently joined my grandmother. For me, a knife is an object full of history, and through these names I can keep alive the memory of those who were dear to me. The rest remains to be written.
